Electronic Booking & Cancellation of Appointments

Before you begin to use Patient Access we would appreciate if you would read the following guidance regarding the booking of appointments over the internet. Please keep this page bookmarked for your own reference.

Missed Appointments

Please let us know if you will be unable to attend an appointment that you have booked online. Either contact us by telephone to cancel it or cancel it online. This will allow us to offer the appointment to another patient.

We realise that there are valid reasons for not attending, however we will be monitoring such occurrences on a regular basis. If you miss an appointment more than three times in one year we will remove your facility to use Patient Access, however you will still be able to book appointments with our Receptionists.

Practice Nurse Appointments

Due to the nature of Nurses’ appointments, these will not be offered online.

Doctor Appointments

Please ensure that you book the appointments appropriately. If you are unsure as to whether it is appropriate for you to see a Nurse or a Doctor please contact us by telephone. Appointments can normally be booked two weeks in advance.

Surgery Premises

Please be aware that all appointments available online are at the Huddersfield Road site and NOT Barugh Green.

Inappropriate Use

We will be monitoring the use of this service and we are sure that you will find it most useful. If however, we find that any users are abusing the service, we will revoke your access to the service and you will have to liaise with our reception team for services.

Inappropriate use would include: sending inappropriate or abusive messages, booking appointments and not using them, booking appointments for other family members using your name, consistently booking in appropriate appointments with the doctor.

Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

If you order and collect your prescriptions from Barugh Green you MUST let us know by typing in the message box. This will ensure your prescription will be available at Barugh Green when you go to collect it otherwise it will be processed at the Huddersfield Road site. 

In the example below you will see the repeat medication screen available to you when ordering online. You should tick the box that appears at the side of your repeat medications for the ones you require - just as you would on the right hand side of your prescription.

Please write any necessary information in the message box, eg Barugh Green and press the submit request button at the bottom.

We will still require 2 working days notice for your prescription to be processed.
